UPDATE, PLEASE READ...on the anniversary of the earthquake yesterday, Etsy informed me that they are shutting down the Haiti by Hand shop. I've tried every way I can think of to work this out but in the end Etsy-The Handmade Marketplace confirms that it is fine to sell factory-produced plastic trinkets as supplies, but not items made by hand in Haiti. Or at least I am not allowed to sell the items for the women--they have to sell the items themselves (haha! from Haiti!! yeah right). Needless to say, I am utterly disappointed and discouraged by this but it appears my hands are tied. That said, if you'd like anything at all from the Haiti etsy shop you have to purchase it immediately.
It would seem, for now, that someone's policies have stopped us from doing what our hearts know is right...reaching out to those in need.
They are still there. They still need us.
Pray for Haiti

This is beyond words disturbing I do not understand in any way shape or form what their stand is. I am hopeful you will find an alternative quickly. Please do not hesitate to ask or any help what so ever.
