01 January 2011

My word this year is 'action'. I have so many ideas, some unfinished projects, things I want to do and things I want to try. I just need to take action and make them come to fruition.

I am constantly seeking balance in all areas of my life for a healthy well being

Happy new year to you Rebecca

great word and I love your blog...my 2011 word is better...last year it was pure :)

Leah C

It's a wonderful word! My word this year is "choose". Wishing you much love & happiness in this brand new year:)

Suzette L

What a beautiful word you have chosen! I chose MEMORIES. Have a wonderful New Year!

Humility...I don't have nearly enough of it.

PROGRESS. This word found me late in 2010, and I think it’s the perfect word. There are so many things that I need to do and want to do that there is no way I’m going to accomplish everything. So, instead, I’ll make progress toward them all and free myself from the responsibility of completing everything. Also, I can feel a sense of progress, and I can progress as a person, wife, mother, teacher, etc. There’s a whole lot in that one little word, but it’s pressure-free.

Have a wonderful New Year!

Nourish is a great word...so many positive vibes from that word.
I have chosen BALANCE for my 2011 word. We all need to find it within every aspect of our lives, and I am going to try to keep those scales even.

I've been thinking about this all week, I keep my word on the bulletin board beside my desk so I can be reminded daily. My word for 2011 is today. I want to enjoy each day as they happen, not always looking ahead. My father passed away in December & I realize how much we need to simply live each day.

I've never chosen a word for the year before, but this I did, too. Except I chose TWO words ... choose wisely. Thanks for all the inspiration on your blog. Blessings to you and your family in the year ahead.

I think my word is "LEAP"! I am in the mode to take more leaps of faith! After getting a glimpse of the light, I've decided that sometimes a leap of faith is my only means of transportation! So, I am leaping to be transported to great adventures this year!

Love your word, Rebecca - actually, I love all of the "words" - and mine...is 'ready'. For once I didn't choose my word, it chose me, and so I hope to embrace it and use it and live it in 2011 :)

I love this idea. I have chosen VERVE as my word. It encompasses so many other great words in its definition, 1. Excitement of imagination such as animates a poet, artist, or musician, in composing or performing, 2. artistic energy and enthusiasm, 3. vigour, vitality and liveliness, 4. rapture, enthusiasm
5. spirit, energy.

My word for the year is "illuminate".

This is the third year I have chosen a word, but this is the first time it has come to me in a prayer.

So here's to going into 2011 with my eyes and heart wide open...

~♥whadda wonderful word! LOVE it! I have been hearing over & over the word *create* so i believe that is mine. i have not ever had a 'word' before...i love. them all but this year it seems like it must be. lotsa prayers & words, *create* just seems to be in most.i use a Christian planner for past years & this year after i wrote in it, i came across the 'january' page...it was about God*Given Abilities...it was amazing! i LOVE how He speaks to us thru nature & His Word. may twenty eleven bring you many creative visions m'dear. hugs & blessings, vikki♥~

Happy New Year Rebecca, I just got my internet connection back after moving to NZ, and I just commented to my husband today that I hardly noticed that we had moved into a New Year and had not yet thought of what I wanted to achieve this year. I have no studio until the container arrives so have a little thinking time until then.
Love and best wishes

Such a beautiful word... nourish.

My word for the year is action and I am most definitely ready.

Happy New Year!

Rebecca...Happy New Year! Nourish is a wonderful word. This is the first year I've chosen a word...it just came to me. My word for 2011 is FOCUS. It's going to be tough, but I'm trying.

Happy New Year Rebecca, I love your word and like Lorraine I have always felt nourished when I visit you here. My words are Hope and Pray, they are inextricably linked for me, I need these words so much this year. x

Trust. Trust the journey is mine and it is good. I love your word of Nourish. It makes me think of "self and others", which is a win/win!! I admit that you really made me think on this, which is a good thing:) Wishing you a feeding frenzy on the goodness that richly sustains you!! XO

Buzz. Yes, buzz, buzz, buzz. That's my word. I chose it because this year I hope to get busy as a bee as I admit to having a lazy side. It's a fun word and less serious than the word "work". It is a gentle mantra and implies teamwork and organization. The reward? Honey. Sweet, gooey, sticky, yummy honey. And who doesn't love honey?

I love that you have a word for the year! Since being saved in 2004, I ask God each year for a rhema word for the year, backed up by a verse. Last year my word was HOPE - and it seemed like I had lost a lot of it by the end of the year, with dreams and goals that were not realised....but God is a BIG God! And He is faithful...his word for this year is REFRESH. The verse that came with it is Acts 3:19-20... in the 'times of refreshment' He is going to bring, it actually means in the Greek 'ability to breathe' and 'revival'!
I am so excited to see what He will do in and through me this year...and I pray that your world is enlarged and blessed as you NOURISH everyone and everything that God places before you. Bless you Rebecca,

Cherish! Hold on to all those whom we love and cherish them each day, every day!. No skipping!!!

The word I have chosen is Lighten...I lost 35 lbs in 2010, I have 60 more to go. I am decluttering my house and my yard, and my mind. Lessening the number of commitments and appointments, down to the ones that matter the most so that I can give more of myself. Letting go of projects unfinished for years, relationships that no longer truly work,to make those that I keep more meaningful. Lightening the load.

Simple Gratitude.
