I woke up yesterday morning thinking about red thread. Odd, but true. Maybe it's because the yummy red strawberries are in season here in Tennessee. Or maybe it's because yesterday was my late seamstress grandmother's birthday. Who knows, but we creatives don't have to have reasons for our constantly spinning minds do we?
So let's do some 'red thread sessions'. I've come up with lots of uses for red thread in creative projects. I'll share one project in each session. All are pretty simple, and I'll begin with the simplest . . .
So very simple, yet such a big impact the red thread makes. Imagine the smile it would bring to a reader each time they opened the saved page of a book. Imagine the smile it would bring to recipient of an unexpected gift. Imagine the warmth it would bring one's heart to receive such love in a small package.
Beautiful.

Sew Cute! (pun intended :) ) Sewing on paper with red thread is one of my most favorite crafty styles! The contrast it provides is just perfect! I look forward to seeing all your projects with the red thread!

OK. I did it. I couldn't wait to get into my craft room and make this. When I zig zagged around the edges I couched over some red yarn sitting on my craft table left over from a dish cloth I just knit. LOVE it. Thanks for the inspiration.

Rebecca,
I'm glad to see that you're back with us--at least physically but maybe not so fully in your heart. We need to to remind us to really stop and see...
Take care,

I think I want to make one of everything in the series. I have a thing for RED. I just bought some chunky red wool to make a shawl with and am looking for a crochet shawl pattern.
