"One of the advantages of being disorderly is that one is constantly
making exciting discoveries."
{ a.a. milne }
I have been meaning to post more often. I have been busy making discoveries, mostly in my studio. After a long spell away, I walk in with new eyes and find forgotten and neglected materials and ideas. I'm rediscovering my paints and even my sketch pencils...and more on that later if I'm brave enough to share...
But I have missed my time here with you. And I am ready to step out of my corner and reconnect.
First I will let you know about this...
...an article featuring a couple of my aprons in Art Quilting Studio. For you stitchers and textile artists this really is a fascinating publication, rich with ideas and techniques...enough to make your fingers itch.
And this...
...am excited to be a part of this book. More about this on the 4th (next Thursday?). But for anyone who has a blog or is beginning a new blog, a really great book of inspiration, and I would not say that if it weren't true.
Hmmm, let's see...oh yes!...really excited to be teaching with Amy and others at Artology Retreat in Holland, Michigan, in October. We'll each be teaching day-long workshops, mine on this project...
Oh plenty else going on...but enough for now.
And I'm thinking of giving something away to one of you, very soon. So come back for a visit tomorrow...or maybe the day after that...
grace and peace.
So nice to hear from you once again and I'm looking forward to your newest creations.

You have a lovely and inspirational blog- I love to visit here.
As I was cleaning my creative space last week I found so many things that just made me itch to get back to creating. But summer keeps luring me outdoors, enjoying all it's glorious gifts. In just a few months I will be knee deep in snow -so for now some things will have to keep!

Hi Rebecca, thought I'd click in and see if you were here today, yay!!! Just finished another one of those projects that's been sitting around waiting for the final touch(in this case a bit of sewing). It happens to be with one of your faces,The place I wanted to hang it is 'right' but the piece is just a little bit long for the space. In the fifth and final week of a quilt -a-long where we're doing the binding part and started another quilt a long - this time doing a little bouquet for a wall hanging(I am just starting to get the hang of making the roses, up till this morning they have all been big/huge{lol}). Have a Flickr set marked postmark: LA. Enough for now!! Happy happies to you...glad your itching again.

It's wonderful to have you back.... I always enjoy my visits here. It's so peaceful even though your post may be about being disorderly!
I saw something about Blogging for Bliss and can't wait to take a look at it. I also have a recent issue of Somerset Studio and may try my hand at some artwork soon.... Maybe.... If I'm not too scared....
By the way, any chance you'll be teaching in Georgia sometime in the future? Or nearby? I'd love to take a class!

Hi Rebecca, I just started my blog a couple of weeks ago and it was very overwhelming in the beginning. Your blog is one I have followed for awhile and I just love you how you keep me coming back. You are a great inspiration! Thanks for returning.

Rebecca, it's good to have you back on your blog! You feel like an old friend, even though we've never met. I began buying your products years ago when I started scrapbooking. Loved your style then, and love it now! And I love the journal--it's just inviting me inside to write!
