27 December 2008

Yes, these days a little more relaxing. Warm here in Texas which makes it nice to get out but doesn't feel very seasonal. Hope to get into my little room to play, too. Happy Christmas week and Happy New Year to you!

I'm so glad to know I'm not the only person who feels this way. I do love Christmas but, I am so much more relaxed now than a week ago. I've even started reorganizing my craft space. Yeah. Thanks for making me realize I'm not alone. Your blogs are wonderful.

The colors you were playing with are also colors that draw me in. I love the serenity they convey. Best wishes for 2009!

happy holidays rebecca. enjoy yourself in your studio.

My little crafter and I too are enjoying the after Holiday stress with a few art projects.
May you have a Wonderful Season of many Blessings!

I loved this comment you made about winter: "those days give us permission to stay indoors and step away from the whirl of it all for a moment." We have had a lot of snow the past few weeks and for our family, it really slows life down and gives a certain kind of peace.
Those are great colors for any time of year!

I love this week...the time between...there is something lulling about it ~ no expectations hovering in any direction, just serenity of something complete and nothing needing beginning. xox

I wish you a wonderful new year and look forward to seeing what you do in the future!

I too love the time right after Christmas. A time to reflect, relax and enjoy. Best wishes in 2009.

I feel the same as you about the chaos. It's a challenge to me each year to tame it. Well, we survived, right? Best wishes for you and your family for 2009 - Happy New Year!

I too love the quietness of this week. I plan on getting back into my studio and organizing a bit, then get busy making some jewelry.

Thanks for the relaxing moment!

Happy New Year! I know exactly what you mean by feeling that calming effect come over you when you start to create, even if it is just mixing colors of paint!

Happy new year !!!! Clarice

I feel the same way. The best time of x-mas is these quiet days after all the fuss is over. My daughter and I have been playing around with our diaries, paint and collages. It's lovely. Happy new years to you:-)

Such a beautiful colour palette you have created there! I can't wait to see what you do with these!

Even though it's summer here in Australia, we've actually had few warm 'summer' days - the temperatures are set to rise a little into next week though, so perhaps our 'true' summer is just around the corner!

Happy New Year Rebecca!
