A tired linen blouse and four vintage hankies...that's all I needed for this altered couture project. And in less than an hour I have what may well be my favorite new blouse. Don't you love projects like that?
Find a blouse that may have gotten too short or has grown boring and cut it off just above the waistline (or wherever suits you). Then, one at a time, stitch vintage hankies around the lower edge. I overlapped mine a couple of inches. I stitched the two front hankies on first, then worked around toward the back with the other two.
Here are some more shots...
Don't forget to email me photos of any "Handmade from Home" projects you complete. We'll showcase them for everyone to see and be inspired!
May you each have a beautiful Tuesday with abundant blessings.
Gorgeous, gorgeous blouse! I love the blouse and the series.

It's just my style! I love wearing this type of thing for a night out - dressy casual. Wonderful altered pieces - and I, like SO many, have an abundance of vintage hankies that need a purpose. Thanks!

I Love these Handmade from Home projects! I'm collecting necklace chains to do a project similiar to the necklace project and I have lots of vintage lace hanky/napkins for the blouse. The projects are beautiful yet doable for someone like me who's creatively challenged. I can't wait to see your next project. I just wanted to express my gratitude for your generosity. Thanks So Very Much

Rebecca-I really am enjoying your blog & I love your goodies at Etsy, too. I'm jealous of your new chickie-chics! I've been wanting hens for fresh eggs for awhile now, but I'm still too "chicken" to take the plunge!
