Now for something to hang on your wall...
Done with an old frame that you have lying around (I have so many!). Cut a piece of thin plywood, matboard or foamboard to fit frame opening (you'll love yourself for going to the trouble of cutting and using the plywood). Cut a piece of sturdy fabric plenty big to wrap around board. I used linen because it's the fabric I love most and seems to work for everything. Decide how you want your old buttons to be spaced and mark the places where you'll stitch on the buttons. Stitch the buttons on (not too tight). Spray the board with spray adhesive if you have it. Place the fabric over the board and wrap around to the back of the board. I used that heavy foil tape that I stole from my husband's workshop to secure the fabric on the back of the board. Secure the board to the frame as you would anything you are framing. And then you get to have fun...coming up with what you'd like to hang on the buttons. An inspiration board? Family photos? Your button card collection? Anything could work and you can change them out as you like. Here are some more photos . . .
Remember to email me with photos of your finished projects!
This is Beeautiful! Such a cool project. Thanks so much for sharing :)

I didn't make this yet, but I am going to make one to use to display a gift certificate donated for a silent auction to benefit a friend with cancer. It is perfect to make a fun and interesting display!

Like everyone else, I love this and want to do some as Christmas gifts. One slight problem: I now lack the husband from whom to swipe the tape. Could you tell me what brand or weight or any other salient details that would help locate that tape in the hardware store? Thanks!! Karen

Rebecca, i can't wait to order my livre. My computer has been sick for two weeks now, maybe longer. So i have been out of touch with the rest of the world. Boy, we sure get used to this window to the world.
Anyway, i know you are not still doing the quote giveaway, but i came across one through the "invisible children" dvds.(these are about amazing children suffering in Uganda) .And i knew you would love it.
The quote is(and you probably already know it since you always have such a great stash) is :
"I do not understand the mystery of grace, only that it meets us where we are, but does not leave us where it found us. --Anne Lamont
Isn't that amazing!!!! God is soooooo good!
I had tears in my eyes when they said it.
And i want to thank you for the generous summmer workshops via your blog. Summer can get a little crazy with all the kids home.
These are simple enough that i can do them with my girls and boys. JUst adapt them to their gender if they want something like that for their own room and such.
have a blessed day!
love, marilyn
