"In a way,
no one sees a flower really,
it is so small
we haven't time,
and to see
takes time."
{georgia o'keefe}
Thank you for letting me share another shot of some old roses growing in my yard. Let's all take the time to see. It's important.
"Handmade from Home" begins tomorrow. Come back for a visit.
If you ever get the chance to travel to Santa Fe, New Mexico, a must see is the Georgia O'Keefe Museum. You will definitely learn to stop, smell and observe the roses, the peonies, the calla lilies, and a number of other wonderful creations from nature. Her jack in the pulpit looks as though she painted it yesterday! I love your pictures of nature from your yard and I'm so looking forward to your "Handmade From Home".

Gorgeous photo! I can't wait for you to start "Handmade From Home", just love the subject matter, decorating with homemade items from the heart. I just received Postmark L.A. last night, and it's beautiful! So much inspiration, you ladies are wonderful - thank you so much for sharing!

Beautiful. Wish my yard looked like that, but alas, I have a brown thumb. I do have rose bushes, but my husband is the one who takes care of them. Anxiously awaiting Handmade from Home!

I love the way the light glows through the roses - a truly lovely photograph.
Looking forward to tomorrow and your handmade goodness.

I couldn't agree with you and Georgia O'Keefe, of course, that seeing takes time.
This reminded me of a quote from a recent bible study..."Busyness dulls our senses...our ability to see, feel, hear, touch, smell, and just be in His presence."
I have been trying to allow my senses to be more in tune--not wanting to miss out on a morsel of the life He has planted for me.
Blessings to you!
