rebecca,

to make that scripture even more powerful and meaningful, substitute a specific person's name for the word LOVE...

rebecca is patient and kind

rebecca is not jealous or boastful or proud or rude

etc.

blessings and thanks,
holly

Heather

Dawn

So true.
It's my first mother's day without mine.
She rejoices and sings in heaven.
Cherish the moments.

Deborah

My mom passed away 4 years ago, so for Mother's Day i like to make a handmade gift or card for some of my friends to show my
appreciation for them.
Thanks for reminding us what true agape love is.

Joyce

Happy Mother's day Rebecca,
Joy joys.

Catherine

Happy Mother's Day to you too!

I love this quote from the Bible! This was said at my granny's funeral and at my wedding! You always know what to say when I need to hear it! Happy Mother's Day to you!!

Kathryn

Thank you - this is just what I needed. While I missed this for Mother's Day my parent's are celebrating their 50th Anniversary next week. To me they have always epitomized "love" and these are the right words to use in the piece I'm making for them. Thanks for reminding me.

These days I tend to think that I've got to come up with something significant and meaningful on my own but I always used to use Biblical quotes.

Once again, thanks for the soft, pleasant, beautiful pictures, words and sharing that I can count on finding on your blog.

Since my mom passed away when I was 19 I relish the love and presents my children and husband bestow on me this day. Not everyone has a mother that is a live and for those of us "motherless daughters" having someone to call us Mom is the next best thing.

My pastor taught us to put our name in the place of Love. I recall one evening he had us go round robin and read it aloud w/ our own names. I was only 20 or so and it had such a powerful impact. Mother's Day blessings to you.
