A healing rain has fallen on us for two days now.
Looked out this morning and saw old Otto just sitting and letting it soak in.
Much like I did late last night...went down by the barn, out by the pastures and let it rain down on me until I was soaked through...and healed. Something we can do out in the country without any neighbors thinking we've finally snapped. Only the neighbors' cows saw me...and looked just long enough to question why we humans don't do these things more often.
Oh that I could send a wind carrying my rains to the dear people in Southern California...my prayers and heart reach for you.
Will leave you with a quote from one of my all-time heroes, Mr. Fred Rogers...
"How many times have you noticed that it's the little quiet moments in the midst of life that seem to give the rest extra-special meaning?"
I so know what you mean about the rain! We really take things for granted and we never count our blessings like we should! My heart hurts for the people in California. My prayers are with them as well. Have a blessed day!

I am continually amazed how healing your words are. Ms. Sower, you write like a song...your words are as soothing as any sweet lullaby. Thank you for sharing your gift with the rest of us.

Rain!what is that? I vaguely remember. We don't see a whole lot here in the desert. Love that chocolate lab. What a great face. You just have to wonder what they would say if they could talk. But I'm sure you already know

Could your dog's name be any better?! Love a dog that looks just like his name suggests he should.
Just got the new Somerset Studio & absolutely love your pieces here. They are stunning!

What a sweet-faced doggy. We have an old Chocolate, too. Did I mention that before? Her name is Jazz and her 14th b-day is coming up! Her days are getting tougher.

I'm from Southern California. One of the fires is still burning about 2 miles from my home. Our house, driveway, cars, plants, walkway---everything is covered in soot and ash. The air is literally unbreathable.
How I'm craving a healing rain RIGHT NOW!!!
In fact, I prayed for it just this morning.

I do love the rain (when its not spoiling my outside plans!) I can remember walking home from school or from a friends in the rain and getting soaked and then feeling soo good when you finally get home and dried off. it was a great feeling.. I havent felt that in probably 30 years! I'm thinking next time it rains.. I'm going for a walk! I appreciated your entry!
