or did I never really leave...it all happened so fast. But isn't that just how vacations at the sea always go? Some things to share...
Something to ponder from one of my beach reads...
"I often wonder about the lives before me and the lives that will follow. I wonder what I'll leave behind, if my prayers or my words have been enough, if even one will care to know who I am. We aren't really meant for this earth. Our record is written elsewhere and retold a thousand times. Maybe we're all contained within each story, little pieces found within. All lives eventually found upon the telling."
And something to see from my never-idle hands, small fragments that will eventually make their way into my artwork...
Of course, not to be forgotten...a heartfelt "Happy Birthday!" to Teresa...may she continue to be her amazing, inspiring, sparkling self.
My thoughts are with each of you...may your day be full of beauty (and fun too of course).
Welcome Back!
Thanks so much for the email you sent me. It meant so much that you took your time to let me hear some kind words. I hope you had a wonderful time at the sea... As we were leaving the beach this year I almost cried. It was so peaceful, beautiful, and relaxing that I didn't want to leave. It amazes me how many senses the beach appeals to. Truly a wonderous place. Have a great day and a painless transition back to the real world. Oh, yeah, when we returned home my husband took a picture of the laundry piles for the scrapbook! Well trained! :)

I love the quote from your book..."we aren't really meant for this earth." Isn't that the truth? Isn't that the struggle everyday, to make sure the time, energy, and resources we spend are for eternity? Thanks for walking the journey with us...

I have never read any of Cindy's books, but I will certainly put her on my must-read list now! Very insightful.

Glad you made it home safe and sound, although I'm sure it was sad to leave the beach (I think I need to LIVE at the beach - ha!). Love your flowers and buttons... you create constantly, don't you??? :)

Another beautiful post. I'm finding so many quotes from your past posts I fear my 'quote journal' will fill up before summer's end. Ha! :) ps- what was the name of your 'beach reads' you mentioned? The link has expired.
