I've been thinking that it's been much too long since I gave something away to one of my readers. Which could be you if you post a comment (only one please) to this post...let's see...okay, you have to tell me your favorite flower, how about that?
I'll have one of my kids choose a name at random and we'll get in touch with you if you're the winner of the collage piece shown here. Deadline to enter, noon on Friday.
Love each of you--you make me happy!
Hi Rebecca!
I have to tell you, I love your style! :) My favorite flower? It has to be the sunflower. I adore the sunny yellow color of them and the huge blooms. :)
Thanks!

Rebecca: My favorite flowers are gerbera daisies with freesia coming in a close second. Your blog inspires me, challenges me, makes me laugh (I have a 15 yo DD too) and ponder my life. Thanks for sharing bits of your life, which so often parallel what's going on in my own life. Happy Thursday! Kathryn

Hi Rebecca! I found your site from Ali E's and now I have to check here every day. Love your style and outlook on life. My favorite flower has to be pink sweetheart roses, as that is what I carried when I got married. Every year on our anniversary I get one for each year we have been married. This year I get 19!!
Love to you and your family! Beth

Let's see...daffodil is one of my favorites;the scent...they remind me of my childhood; we used to hide the bright yellow eggs among the daffodils.

My favorite flower is a jonquil. I always loved them as a symbol of the hope of spring. but they became my favorite flower when one bloomed in my yard on the morning my second daughter was born. She now thinks it is her flower!

Mine would have to be the peonies that I got from my Grandmother - that she had in her garden and her mother had in her garden!

The peony has to be my favorite, there's something about watching the small round bud grow and grow and grow and then burst open into an amazing ruffled & fluffy bloom.
Thanks for all your kind thoughts on life. You have a wonderful style.

My favorite is gardenia. My aunt and uncle have had a gardenia nursery in California forever. When we were little my mom worked there and we would tag along and play. When I was a teenager, that was my first job. It is a family business...and the smell as soon as you walk into the building is amazing! The flowers are so delicate and just lovely all prettied up.

I love lilacs. I spent hours playing in our lilac "fort" as a child, then my friend decorated with lilacs all over my mom's sunroom for my baby shower. I just found your blog through Ali's link and I'm so inspired!

Gerbera Daisies...any color. I love ALL flowers, but if I had to pick one, it'd be Gerbera daisies.

My favorite flower is the Portulaca. It is especially close to my heart since my Italian grandfather (now deceased)used to grow this colorful, succulent, drought resistant beauty over 35 years ago in his garden.
Every year, while I grow less and less annuals, and more and more perennials, I still make a point to purchase a flatful of Portulacas in memory of my Mom's Dad :)..
I'm sure he's smiling from above!! =)

Rebecca...my very favorite flower is the hydrangea, especially the blue ones...my parents yard is full of enormous hydrangea bushes, all of them blue, except one which is kind of a chameleon...it changes from light pink to cranberry and then to a light green if it rains a lot! I wish I could get them to grow here in TX but we don't have enough shade...I'm hoping that our next home will!
