I love that feeling, when I look up or over and my eyes fall on a sight, a sort of vignette, that makes me happy, just the seeing it. I always want to share. So I photograph and of course the photo never looks quite like the original. That's the case here for sure. I looked up from my work yesterday and my eyes caught on my 'waiting wall', where I stick things, masking tape style, that are waiting in the wings to be added to one project or another. Quickly stuck out of the way, off the chaos of the work table, but in sight should they speak to me. And there with them a page torn out of a magazine, those tranquil colors reaching out to me as things that calm always do.
How wonderful it is
that nobody need wait a single moment
before starting to improve the world

Until we meet again...

Even your waiting wall is a work of art!

I love how you call it your "waiting wall." And what a smart idea to get things off your work space while keeping them in view. It must keep you inspired and moving on with projects to see things hanging there, just waiting to be used.

Your waiting wall is beautiful. You've inspired me to do something with all my things that are "in the waiting". I also have that very same page pulled out!

This is a beautiful story wall. You know I used to do those as a kid in my play room. It's sad I grew up--I need to find that inner kid in me again. Thanks for the inspiration you give me.
Rebecca, do you ever teach in the South? I won't be able to make it to Silver Bella this year and love your classes you are giving or even offer kits? It seems there isn't much on our side of the region or lower East coast.
Thanks
Kris

I think I'll have to steal that quote from Anne Frank and use it on a scrapbook page. How could some one so young have come up with so many insightful things to say about the world?

i had a wall in my room much like this when i was a kid...mostly donny osmond posters, beaded bracelets, macrame strings...all "artfully" arranged and held up with masking tape! :)

Love it! I can see how this would be very inspiring. I even love the big chunky tape that's used to hold them up.

I've been acting on this thought the last couple weeks and it's gratifying to see it as a quote! I have so many tasks I'd like to get done (improving my little world...my home) but have felt like I need to set aside a large block of time to get it all done at once. Lately I've been taking the available moment to get a little job done and it's all adding up. Feels so good!

Rebecca what a fabulous idea.
I love it when I look at something I've created or a little vignette in my home and I just want to smile.
