I have spent the last several years of my life sharing with others the importance of journaling. But in truth, I am a sporadic writer. You know, just one of those situations where you're so busy teaching others that you never have the time to actually be your own student. I have written many journal entries for my children over their years, and for that I am satisfied.
But only recently have I rediscovered the practice of writing down my own thoughts. In habit form anyway. I just find myself more times than not with my thoughts racing around in my head and mixing themselves together into one big unidentifiable mountain of sludge. And that doesn't make anything good. It wreaks havoc on the focus factor.
So I'm writing. Early in the mornings, late at night by the candle's light. Writing the front of my mind stuff, my prayers, my frustrations, my lists, my secrets. And I am clearer now. Well duh, you writers are saying. And you would be right.
Have a pleasant weekend...and start keeping your secrets.
